This handmade quiet book is not just a story book, its an interactive book enhanced with LED lights and Soft Circuits. Each page tells part of the story – and when children explore, the pages light up to make the caterpillar’s journey even more magical.

Each page of the book is lovingly crafted from soft felt and colorful fabrics. It’s designed not just as a storybook, but as a hands-on learning experience of young children. The quiet book includes a variety of activity pages that invite kids to explore and learn through play.

The caterpillar’s journey from egg to butterfly is told through creative fabric art, stitched details, and interactive electronic elements.

This book uses soft conductive materials, such as conductive thread and pressure sensor to create simple circuits safely embedded within the fabric. these circuits power small LEDs that glow when young learners press or complete a connection- making it a magical way to introduce basic electronics to little learners.

This blend of storytelling and circuitry helps learners understand cause and effect, curiosity about how things work, and introduces them to STEM learning in fun full, age-appropriate way.

Why I Created It

I wanted to blend art, storytelling, and technology into something learners touch explore and enjoy quietly. This project is a way to show that electronics can be soft, playful and creative – not just wires and screens.

Every stitch and sparkle in this book tells a story – not only of a caterpillar’s transformation but of creativity meeting innovation.
